The book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton should be banned. In all the book has some very good lessons but, certain parts are terrible. The book follows the plot of two rival groups from different social classes. They have quite a few run ins and through out more problems build up until it explodes.
         This book is inappropriate for some kids, Even though the "drugs" are only cigarettes and they don't really drink. There are many other situations that make it inappropriate. For example, they all come from broken homes. Also there is gang violence and fighting between kids. This sets a bad example for kids who read this book and they then will think its okay to do these things to others. It glamorizes smoking many other things. That is why this book should be banned.
