Assignment

Your Task: Rewrite the hospital scene where Johnny's mother comes to visit. In your version, the nurse does not turn her away, but lets her in the room. Imagine Johnny's reaction. What would Johnny's mother say to him? What would Johnny say to her?

You are writing part of a narrative, not a script. Sentences, punctuation, and paragraphs should appear the way it would in a book. Use the book or passage above as an example. Pay special attention to the dialogue and how the author starts a new paragraph each time she changes speakers.

                                                                          JET CAM

         Johnny's mom was angry and grabbed the nurse and walked into the room that Johnny was in. She then threw the nurse on the floor and said "just one minute". Johnny was so surprised.  He said ''well don't be throwing me on the floor so soon...''. She said ''Ok wont be anyway, I only came so I could tell you that I hope you die and your room will be on sale for rent.'' He said '' WHAT?!, that's why I always left the house, I don't get beat up just by you I get beat up by the SOCS.'' ''who cares I don't care anyway." Johnny then said " I WISH I WAS DEAD , I HATE YOU MOM." She said "ok" so went on and unplugged Johnny's support.
