A nurse appeared in the doorway. “Johnny,”
she said quietly, “your mother’s here to see you.”
Johnny opened his eyes. At first they
were wide with surprise, then they darkened. “I don’t want to see her,” he said
firmly.
“She’s your mother.”
“I said I don’t want to see her!” he
shouted. “Tell her to leave…”
The nurse stepped aside and in walked
his mother. She looked at her son, lying on the hospital bed; dying. Immediately,
she starts crying. She collapses on the floor, in fetal position crying.
“Johnny,” she began, “I’m sorry for everything that's ever happened to you. Especially this."
"I don't need your pity." Johnny muttered "GET OUT. NOW. NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!"
"You cannot tell me what to do young man!" she slaps him hard across the face.
"GET OOOOUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT!" Pony yells and she exits with a smug grin on her face.
