A nurse appeared in the doorway in Johnny Cade’s hospital room. “Johnny,” she said in a soft voice. “Your mother is here.” Johnny’s eyes went wide with fear. “Tell her I don’t want to see her!” Johnny said. But Johnny’s mom appeared at the doorway with an angered expression. “What did you just say?” She asked. Johnny’s mom lingered towards him. “You really think running away is going to faze me?” “Leave me alone!” Johnny said. He hid under the bedsheets. Johnny’s mom just laughed. “You think I can’t see you?” “GO AWAY!” Johnny screamed. The nurse bolted to the door. “Ma’am may I please ask you to calm down.” “CALM DOWN?” Johnny’s mom shouted. Then some security guards came through the door to pull Johnny’s mom out of the room. Johnny passed out cold.
